This reproduction pattern makes a Victorian cape. The original pattern was stamped Aug-18-188? on the back of the largest pattern piece. That gives it a conclusive date in the 1880s, though the last number of the year was too faint to read. This authentic pattern is great for finishing your Victorian costume. The pattern is missing the piece that makes the long tie. A competent seamstress can improvise one or make the version that doesn't use the tie.
