Created by an artist for Dazian's Costume Design service, this vintage 50s Calypso dancer is a great piece of frameable art, perfect for the lover of fashion illustration, or for sewing room artwork. It is hand drawn in pen and ink, in salmon, yellow and green. The dancer features a Calypso headpiece, neck scarf, button front midriff top, capris pants and yellow ballet shoes. Includes the original pencil notes about fabric suggestions and has an illustration of the costume's back as well. It would be great as home decor, or for a dancer's bedroom.
Lovers of theatre, fashion illustration and fashion design will love this imaginative little piece of art.
It measures about 7" x 9 1/2", and is in excellent condition. It is signed "Fern." It will be mailed to you unframed, secured by backing board and wrapped in an archival plastic protector. Choose your own style of mat and frame for display.
