Featuring chapters on choosing clothes, fabrics, patterns, basic stitches, and how to sew various garments and their details. Includes some how to's on how to sew a few simple pieces, though it does not include actual patterns. Includes chapters on care of clothes, mending, and home design like draperies, bedspreads and more. 319 pages, including the index, it is full of details you will use on any sewing project, whether you are a beginner or not.
Binding is tight, and though there is minor shelfwear, there are no marks inside that I've found. No dust jacket.
Vintage items have lived a previous life, thus they may show signs of wear, such as stains, creases, tears, foxing, marks or pinholes. We do our best to describe accurately.
Some patterns may have missing pieces. These are labelled “wounded birds”, and will list the missing pieces. Please read the listing carefully.
Patterns are shipped in plastic bags, with a backing board. This will protect them from the elements (and the post office).
In our continued effort to remain environmentally friendly, your Paypal or credit card receipt will serve as your receipt.

We love to ship to our international customers, but want you to know a few things. International shipping prices have gone up tremendously over the past couple of years. Please check the shipping carefully before purchasing, and if you have questions, please email us.
Import taxes/VAT are the responsibility of the purchaser. Please do not ask us to alter a customs form, as it is illegal and we can’t risk our business on a lie.
International packages take longer to arrive due to processing them through customs. International delivery times can vary from week to week, so please be patient and check with your post office if your package hasn’t arrived.
