60s Smocked Throw Pillow Chair Pad Cushion Home Decor Smocking Vintage Pattern McCalls 6257

This is an original pattern and smocking transfer. It remains unused. Pattern includes one transfer for latticed smocked 12 x 18 oblong pillow A without boxing or bench pad B with boxing as illustrated.  Also included are two transfer sheets with lattice smocking 36 x 54 to be used for other decorator items such as round 15" stool pad C illustrated, square pillows, cafe curtains, valances, bedspread, pillow shams, etc.  Each transfer will stamp several times depending on the fabric used. 

Bold smocking, stamped as well as worked on the wrong side of the fabric forms a very elaborate-looking pleated lattice effect on the right side of the fabric. The enclosed leaflet gives instructions for cutting, smocking and making pillows or pads and 30" cafe curtains and general instructions for estimating amount of fabric required for any item to be smocked. 1962
